Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite are two new phone from Xiaomi which are focused on Selfie. Company says Redmi Y series is targeted at the youth of the nation. The biggest highlight of Redmi Y1 is it’s 16-megapixel of front camera with LED selfie light.

Redmi Y1 price in India is Rs.8,999 for the variant of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage where another variant of Redmi Y1 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available at Rs. 10,999.  The Redmi Y1 Lite for 2GB RAM and 16GB storage  is available at Rs.6,999. All the handset will go on sale vai Amazon India, and will go on sale Via Amazon and Mi.com on November 8. After that, the handset will be available via offline stores as well.

Redmi Y1’s biggest highlight is it’s 16-megapixel of selfie camera  with LED selfie-light, for better selfie in low light conditions. The company is also touting the beautify 3.0 feature on it, which helps beautify selfie photos.

Redmi Y1 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display of resolution 720pixel by 1280pixels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. These phones are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC, coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM. Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1Lite sports a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF and Dual-LED flash.

There is 32GB/64GB in built storage on the Xiaomi Redmi Y1, which can be expand up to 128GB by using microSD card.
