GIONEE A1 Review

GIONEE A1

Hello friends
Today we are going to discus about Gionee A1 which is termed as a perfect selfie camera phone by Gionee themselves.  So friends come and let we discus each and every point is brief in bellow.

Design: The Gionee A1 has a reassuring feel in the hand with a metal body with a few plastic bit to reduce the cost as well as to get the network better.
If the bezels they use a bit smaller it look much better according to my view. The big bezels make it bit dated and also harm its premium feel.
If we look at the build quality it is quite impressive and the phone feel solid and chunky. If we talk about the back panel it looks premium and classy which is made  up of polished metal.
Where most of the phone companies tries to make their phone slimmer and slimmer Gionee A1 comes with a thickness of 8.3mm.
It has a curved edge design, where at the right side there is volume rocker and power button, SIM slot at the left side. On the bottom there is a mono speaker which gets very tinny and shrill at full volume.
There is a physical home button with two capacitive keys for multitasking and back. The home button is embedded with a fingerprint sensor which is pretty fast and accurate. The home button is a bit of disadvantage because it is too recessed and difficult to press. The ring around the home button is not well finished and looks not so proper.

Display:
With a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display Gionee A1 has great viewing angle and decent sunlight legibility. As you all know the in AMOLED panels color are punchy and vibrant and seem to “pop” right of the screen which is exactly same here in Gionee A1 too. If you want to reduce its brightness the lowest setting is seems bright which may irritate at night but the maximum level is quite good.

Major Hardware:
If we talk about the hardware it has 4GB ram with 64GB internal storage and a Media Tek Helio P10 processor.

Software:
If we talk about software A1 runs with Gionee’s own Amigo with Android 7.0 Nougat where they both optimize nicely without any major lag or slowdown, But it look odd it seems to be a cheap or duplicate  of IOS product.
There are some pre install applications like Peel Remote, UC browser, G store, Xender and many more. In addition to we feel some app icons very tacky.

Battery Life:
If we talk about the battery life Gionee A1 comes with a 4010mAh battery which will last long easily throughout the day after intensive use and gaming.

Camera:
Here comes the biggest thing about Gionee A1 which is its cameras.
So friend as the phone is called as selfie camera phone it has a 16 MP front facing camera with a aperture of f/2.0. If you take photos by this camera you will get crisp, clear and photos full of details. If you notice the photos taken you will find the colors is well balanced and natural adding with a well working autofocus. For low light it comes with a front LED flash which works well but dual LED flash could be better.

But if you want to know about the rear camera it told a different story. A1 comes with a 13 MP rear view camera which takes nice shots but struggles in low light and complex shots. The exposure is not too good and HDR more is surprisingly competent and does make a tangible difference in situations with uneven lighting.
In addition Video is not so impressive because of not good stabilization and microphone although it has 1080p recording capacity.

Should you buy this?
Gionee A1 is ranked good with its excellent battery, great front camera, a chunky and solid build, big internal storage and a bright and well good display.
There are some disadvantage like mismatch of Android and IOS, average rare camera, week processor, uninspired look and many more.

So if you really a selfie freak than you could buy it but if you do not want to waste your Rs19999 you should ignore it and find something else.
