On Friday Sony India Launched two new phone, Xperia R1 and Xperia R1Plus. According to Sony, both the Phone is targeted at mid-segment customers. The company is promoting the handsets to support fast and browsing via uplink data compression (UDC). The Smartphones have been launched globally in India first.

Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus will be available across all Sony Centre and major mobile stores across India starting November 10, 2017. Both the phone also available on leading e-commerce site Amazon and Flipkart in country.

Sony Xperia R1 Plus will be available at Rs 14,990 and Sony Xperia R1 will be available at Rs 12,990, with Black and Silver color option. The company lists the phone of MRP of Rs 15,990 and Rs 13,990 for Sony Xperia R1 Plus and Sony Xperia R1 respectively.

The company also confirms that interested customers can register for the phones starting Friday on Amazon with promises that “Pre-registered customer will be entitled for a special offer.”

Both the Phone comes with almost identical innards with Just RAM and storage difference. Sony Xperia R1 packs with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and Sony Xperia R1 Plus packs with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus comes with 5.2-inch HD TFT display of resolution 720pixels by 1280pixels and powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC.

Both the phone runs with Android nougat with a promise of Android Oreo upgrade. Both the phone comes with 13-megapixel of rear camera with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor and LED flash. In terms of front camera Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus packed with a 5-megapixel camera.

The dual-SIM device is packed with 2620mAh battery and support USB Type-C. Connectivity option includes 3G/4G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi and FM radio.
