MediaTek Vs Snapdragon
Everything You Want To Know
In a day we got
new Smartphone in market today, and we really confuse about the Processor, that
which processor we should have to buy.
There is many more
processor but in the market we got the battle between MediaTek and Snapdragon.
In today’s blog we
are going to discuss the main difference between the MediaTek and Snapdragon
processor, by which you can make an idea that which is better that whom.
So let we discuss
this.
MediaTek :
It is a Taiwanese
Company which believes in numbers, they used more cores in its processor (like
octa core, hexa core, deca core etc.)
Battery life: In
terms of battery life MediaTek processor are not consider as a great one.
MediaTek processor drains more battery so results in less battery life.
Now a day they are
optimizing their processor to be more power efficient but still lags behind
their competition in terms of battery life.
Performance:
Performance wise their processors are very good. Due to the availability of
extra core, MediaTek processor can handle intensive and heavy tasks and they
are very good in multitasking. But this can happen only if we have sufficient
RAM. Yes more core demands more RAM to give you a great performance.
Heating Problem: In terms of heating issue MediaTek processor
deliver more heat than the others. It is simple thing that more core gives more
heat.
Graphics: In terms of
graphics, MediaTek employs Mali graphics which is a third party graphics
Vendor. Here graphics architecture is different from cpu and its performance
may not match with cpu. It is really important to match the performances of cpu
and gpu so that the whole chipset performs efficiently and effectively.
Now it’s tern for
the other processor make.
Snapdragon:
Snapdragon
chipsets are manufactured by Qualcomm which is an American Based Company.
Snapdragon chipsets
are not just CPU’s they incorporate other many processor in their chipset. This
is main the main difference between Snapdragon and other processors.
As snapdragon
comes with other processor Snapdragon chipsets are named as SoC’s ( system on
chip) have a CPU, GPU(Adreno Graphics), image processor, DSP (Digital signal
processor), cellular Modem unit, Wi-fi Module, radio module, GPS Module,… etc.
These modules and
processor are inside of a snapdragon chip, which make it costly.
Battery life:
Snapdragon processor are really efficient than other processor make.
Performance: In
terms of performance Snapdragon Processor does great jobs. In multi-tasking,
gaming, handling heavy tasks and intensive tasks Snapdragon processors are very
good.
Heating issue: In
terms of heating snapdragon processor generally deliver less heat compared to
MediaTek and other processors.
Graphics: Snapdragon has their own graphics called Adreno
Graphics and incorporates into their chips. So in Snapdragon Processor the
performance of cpu and gpu are matched.
The final comparison:
If you noticed
that in comparison Snapdragon is better than MediaTek in all sectors. Yes phone
with snapdragon processor are costly than that of MediaTek, but some companies
with high priced Smartphone still use MediaTek processor.
If you want to buy
a phone with MediaTek processor, than the phone should be with bigger RAM and
much bigger Battery. It is general that phone under Rs 10,000 works good with
snapdragon processor with average battery because these phone does not have so
many features to use where the processor should not work more.
But if you want to
buy a phone above Rs 10,000 you must have to see the processor, where phone
with Snapdragon Processor are really a better option.
