SPEED TEST NETWORK OF INDIA AIRTEL NOT JIO

Fastest Network of India
Jio looses where Airtel wins the Race

Jio has been announced as the fastest 4G network by TRAI’s My speed app and data but “Open Signal’s” reported Airtel as the fastest 4G network by its app ‘ state of Network’ in April 2017.
Open signal also added that in terms of availability Jio is the highest available network in india but when it comes to speed Airtel became a clear leader in that.
According to Open single Airtel is not only the fastest 4G network it is also in top in terms of 3G speeds, and as well as overall ranking across networks. We all know that Reliance Jio has only 4G LTE networks and it does not have any 3G and 2G network.

Open Signal clocked Airtel’s LTE download speed as 11.5 Mbps. If we look at the chart given by Open Signal Jio comes in the forth position with LTE download speed of 3.92Mbps, well below Vodafone’s 8.59Mbps and Idea’s 8.34 Mbps.

If we compare this data with TRAI’s data we observe a large amount of difference Where TRAI rated Jio with a unbelievable 16.48 Mbps in March, which is much more compared to 8.33 Mbps on Idea cellular and 7.66Mbps on Airtel.
Open Signal also added that India’s operators are still well below the global average for 4G download speeds. Jio may be not they have topped on the speed chart but Open Signal noted that Jio is the most available network in India now.

The report shows that “ testers on Jio’s network were able to find a 4G signal 91.6% of the time,” which is “ an exceptional availability measurement by any global standard”, Where other Operators did not score higher than 60% in the availability test, according to Open Signal.

All of you are now wandering that how Open Signal do the tasting for the speed?
Open Signal’s app actually takes “background reading from device multiple times per minute,” and it calculates average per device.
Open signal looks at all data at the device level, and only take LTE into account when it has verified that the device had connected to LTE successfully at least once.

Airtel and Jio have fights in lots of things including the data speed. In the last month Airtel was forced to withdraw its “fastest network” advertising after jio register a complain at ASCI- advertising Standard Council of India.
