What are the things in PROCESSOR that you need for comparisons for better Phone performance?

When we are thinking to buy a phone, usually we are thinking about the battery, heating issue, camera and the processor.

Specially in processor we compare about the cores, GHz etc etc. and we think Octacore is better than Quaredcore. But is the all?????

Today we are going to discuss what are the things you need to observe when you comparing processors of different phones.

Processors are the brain of your phone which handles all the functions of your phone. For a better processor you need to know about the four important things of a processor. We are going to discuss about the things that are really important below: 

1.    ARCHITECTURE:  Yes architecture of a processor is really important. Now the question is what an ACCHITECTURE of a processor is?

ARCHITECTURE is actually the design of the processor made by the company known as ARM. I think you have heard about CORTEX A5,A9,A53,A56 etc. This design are improved by ARM day by day and the most new is the always the best so always find new design number for better phone processor. Now you are thinking that how you can find which one is the new or which one is old? Here the shortcut to find the best the best processor : larger the number better the processor i.e. CORTEX A56 is better than CORTEX A53.

2.     TECHNOLOGY: Here in the model of processor technology is also an important factor. In the processor there are millions and millions of transistors. Here the size of the transistor matter. As the size of the transistor goes down the performance became fast and it also consume less power. Actually the ARCHITECTURE given by ARM is modified by the phone companies. So the size of the transistor is also determined by the phone companies. Here SAMSUNG wins the race to make the smallest transistor of size 14nm (neon-meter) and other companies are in the same race with the size of 20nm and 24nm.  

3.     NUMBER OF FREQUENCY : We will discuss the technical factors of core in some other day because today we are only discussing how to select a good processor and how you can find the best.

In simple word core are like hands of a person. If we think ourselves as processor than our hands are the core. If we have four hand than it is Quaredcore where you can do four different works or you can complete a single work faster by using all of your hand. And if we have eight hand we can do eight different work in same time or we can complete a work faster by using multiple hand for it.

Than yes octacore is better choice if the architecture and the technology are also good.

4.     FREQUENCY or GHz: Every time  we heard the term GHz  like the phone has 1.2 GHz or 1.5 GHz or 2 GHz processor. Now what is GHz? GHz is measurement of speed that how fast the processor work. In simple words 1 GHz means that the processor can work 10 caror times in a single second. It is on it that how much time it take to complete a work or what amount of work it can do in one second. That is the larger the number is better for the processor performance.

So before choosing your next phone please cheek the ARCHITECTURE of the phone where larger no is better, 2^nd please cheek the technology where it is 14nm or 16nm or 20 or 24nm. In checking the technology smaller number is the best. 3^rd one is the no of core where larger no is better if the architecture and the technology matches well. For example if a processor has 8 core with 28nm technology where another one with 4 core with 14nm technology it does not  mean that the 1^st one is better choice because it come with 8 core but with a non advanced technology.

At the last you also cheek the frequency or GHz of the phone where larger number is best.

Here all the things are related with each other so for a best processor they all should satisfy the performance issue.
