Shorts Beta in United States, to challenge the well growing Chinese app TikTok.
During its test in India YouTube shorts score very high where it got around
6.5 billion view per day.
The product head of this Google owned Video service Todd Sherman says
“We’re introducing our YouTube
Shorts Beta to the United States Starting today, as we continue to build the
experience alongside our global community.”

introduce more features as we continue to build shorts alongside creators and
artists.”
According to the product head Todd Sherman YouTube is also working on
the fact that how creators can make money from this short video platform.
It is clear that YouTube’s this service will really give a dam challenge
to the Chinese-owned platform Tik-Tok. Since Tik-Tok is banned in various country
due to security reason not only YouTube other platform like Face book owned
Instagram and popular OTT platform Netflix is also in this race to get more audience
by creating their own short video platform.
Early this month Netflix Added a feature called “ Fast Laugh” to its
iPhone application which provide comic clips in rapid fire.
In the month of August Facebook-Owned Instagram had launched its short
video format Reels which became a great hit in youth now.
Similarly Snapchat launched Spotlite in the month of November which is
also become popular by its user.
In this race of short video streaming there are too many players which
are doing well and in the future the race will became bigger and tougher as
well.
