After testing in India YouTube Shorts Beta Starts rolling in US


On Thursday YouTube starts rolling its new Short video platform YouTube Shorts Beta in United States, to challenge the well growing Chinese app TikTok.

During its test in India YouTube shorts score very high where it got around 6.5 billion view per day.

The product head of this Google owned Video service Todd Sherman says

“We’re introducing our YouTube Shorts Beta to the United States Starting today, as we continue to build the experience alongside our global community.”

“We plan to introduce more features as we continue to build shorts alongside creators and artists.”

According to the product head Todd Sherman YouTube is also working on the fact that how creators can make money from this short video platform.

It is clear that YouTube’s this service will really give a dam challenge to the Chinese-owned platform Tik-Tok. Since Tik-Tok is banned in various country due to security reason not only YouTube other platform like Face book owned Instagram and popular OTT platform Netflix is also in this race to get more audience by creating their own short video platform.

Early this month Netflix Added a feature called “ Fast Laugh” to its iPhone application which provide comic clips in rapid fire.

In the month of August Facebook-Owned Instagram had launched its short video format Reels which became a great hit in youth now.

Similarly Snapchat launched Spotlite in the month of November which is also become popular by its user.

In this race of short video streaming there are too many players which are doing well and in the future the race will became bigger and tougher as well.
